Find DART Bus Routes and Services
Use the map below to view bus routes, bus stops, service zones, park and ride lots, and shelters for DART’s new bus network.
Bus routes shown here will launch on June 14. New DART On Demand service will launch in late September. Paratransit will stay as shown.
Our Services
You can ride on our 10 main bus routes:
- Routes travel along the busiest streets of the Des Moines metro.
- Most bus routes run seven days a week.
- A couple routes run on weekdays only.
DART On Demand is a ride you request when you need it.
- Travel between main street corners and key destinations within the service zone.
- You may share the ride with others.
- Zones in Ankeny, Clive-Urbandale and Altoona will start in fall 2026.
Ankeny DART On Demand will continue running as is until September 28, 2026.
Find a ZoneParatransit is a door-to-door service. It is for seniors and people with a disability who cannot use our regular bus routes some or all the time.
- Service offers additional support with travel needs.
- You must fill out an application to enroll.
- You must call ahead to book your ride.
Other DART Services
Bus Routes to Schools
We provide bus service to some Des Moines Public Schools.
- School routes run Monday through Friday on school days.
- They are open to the public. Anyone can ride these routes.
Caravan Vanpool Service
Caravan allows you to share a ride to work.
- You ride in a van with 5 to 12 people.
- Vanpools serve an 18-county area in Central Iowa.
DART Services by City
You can ride DART in these cities: Altoona, Ankeny, Clive, Des Moines, Johnston, Polk County, Urbandale, West Des Moines and Windsor Heights.
