Board of Commissioners
As a public agency that receives tax dollars, DART is accountable to the communities we serve.
How DART is Governed
We are governed by a Board of Commissioners, made up of one elected official from each city that chooses to be a member of DART. Commissioners serve as volunteers. The Commission makes decisions about funding, policies and priorities for service. DART staff plans our bus network and delivers services based on the Commission’s direction.
Commission Meetings
The DART Commission generally meets on the first Tuesday of every month in the Multimodal Room at DART Central Station, 620 Cherry St., Des Moines. Meetings begin at noon. Dates and times could change and will be posted on our website.
