Book & Pay for Bus Plus (Paratransit)
Once you are approved for Bus Plus, you can book a ride.
How to Book a Ride
You must call us to make a reservation.
What to Know
- You can book your trip 1 to 7 days before you travel.
- Premium Service Zone trips must be booked 2 to 5 days ahead.
- We may offer a pickup time up to 1 hour before or after your request.
- When to call:
- Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Saturday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- We are closed on six holidays each year.
- On Sunday, leave a voicemail if you would like to book a Monday trip.
- Please leave at least 90 minutes between trips to and from your destination.
What to Have Ready
When you call, please tell us:
- Your first and last name
- The date and time you want to travel
- Your pickup address
- Your destination address
- Your return trip time
- If anyone else is riding with you
- Your payment method
- Any special instructions (like your wheelchair accessible needs)

Cost of a Ride
- $3.50 per trip in the Base Service Zone
- $30 per trip if you are getting on or off the vehicle in the Premium Service Zone.
How You Can Pay
- Cash (exact fare only)
- Credit or debit card in the MyDART app

Get Ready for Your Paratransit Ride
- We will give you a 30-minute pickup window.
- Please be ready 15 minutes early.
- Drivers will wait 5 minutes.
- If you miss your ride, we cannot send another vehicle.
- All vehicles have a DART logo.
Your ride may be in:
- A DART bus
- A UZURV vehicle
- A Yellow Cab taxi
Riding With Others
Personal Care Attendant (PCA)
- Your PCA rides for free.
- They must get on and off at the same place as you.
Guest or Companion
- Guests may ride if space is available.
- Guests must travel the full trip.
- Guests pay the same fare as you.
Service Animals
You may ride with a service animal. Pets and emotional support animals are not allowed.
We may ask:
- Is this a service animal?
- What task does the animal perform?

Canceling a Trip
If your plans change, call 515-283-8136.
- Cancel at least 1 hour before pickup.
- Repeated late cancellations may lead to aservice suspension.
